Forum Title: Rymar coming off in flakes after 2 years
I went back to a deck I stained 2 years ago under spec from the contractor to use Rymar just a few days after the deck was completed. All of the horizontal surfaces are flaking away, i could scrape it off with a blade easily. It could be: the hot weather and thus hot surface, the boards were still a bit wet from the mill, or Rymar is garbage. I will be washing and then possibly scraping and sanding before staining this, but looking for preferences on solid or semi solid stain other than Rymar. I used to use a lot of Penofin, are we in accordance it is a great product?

Rymar is a solid product. I never had a peeling or any other failure with it. Stay away from solid stuff on a deck though imho.
